Fun Designs for Adults

I really enjoyed reading the input in the article that I have often thought about. Designs should be purposeful and generally pleasing to the eye. Little details and interesting use of color can make a bold statement. And as adults, we usually have a set schedule- a preplanned routine, for how each day is going to play out. At times that can become mundane, but it does not have to be. Designs can stimulate our senses and bring a little joy to our lives. So I wonder, why at one point in life we felt at a certain age the need to stop buying "adorable" items? Then time passes by and we realize thats all we want in life; items that are visually pleasing. Plus, the item having a purpose, performing a task, makes the object that much more irresistable.
