Emotional Design gave me different perspectives of designs for everyday life objects. I enjoyed reading how all the ideas these artists came up with a design for it to bring a positive impact on viewers. For the Japanese lunchbox idea, it is suppose to create “Beauty, fun, and pleasure”. The Google idea is suppose to be “playful” but in a simple way that would be clear-cut to the user. The te ò tea strainer, came out to be “pleasant and cute” and served its purpose. The juicy salif is made to have a basic step of “enticement, relationship, and fulfillment”. Norman wanted to point out that these designs were made to let the user to have fun and enjoy using the objects. Also, to have a design not just for its functions but for the excitement and entertainment.
